Prologue

Its been awhile since i last post. But, I suppose I’m back, I have plans, and I intend to follow them through. Amongst those intentions include rebooting my blog, so beside from finally adding a light mode, in this post, I’d like to share my wonderful experience with friends from Ibaraki University in an exchange event with HUS - VNU that I helped host around September 2025. So as you can see, it was quite awhile since then, but I still cherish those memories vividly.

I actually used to do something like this already in 2024, which is why I was called again, but for the 2025 event, I had a much bigger role and was present much more than before. Exchange event with Ibaraki University is also my first time working with HUS’s Office of Cooperation and Development, I’m really grateful for their guidance and opportunities that they have helped connecting me to.

Back then, I was mostly just an MC for the opening/onboarding show and the closing ceremony, I still had a lot of fun hosting the games and performances, and the friends from Ibaraki was very good-spirited.

I have to admit, unfortunately I haven’t been able to contact these friends since then. Kanta, Yusuke, Jo, Takeshi, Shoki, Soma, I still remember you guys hehe, if you guys are reading this, I’d love to reconnect again!

The HUS - Ibaraki Exchange Event 2025

Imma just call it HIEE for short 🥴. This time around, with experience from 2024, I was involved with the event much more. The experience was definitely unforgettable, at least to me it was. I was still the main MC lol, but this time around I was much more of a “host” throughout the entire event.

Opening Ceremony

The show was quite a success, everyone had a great time interacting, performing, and just good vibes all around. To be honest I was quite nervous because it was quite a bit more people than I expected. Let’s meet our fiends from Ibaraki this time around:

Haruta. People say he has great taste in fashion (especially during less formal hangouts), I think so too :).

Shu. He’s a bit quiet, but is very gentle and brings a positive vibe.

Hatsune. To me she was very strong and confident, multi-talented too :D.

Hinako. She was very bright and funny, and she likes AOT with me too 🏃‍♂️.

Last but not least, Anna (in the middle), she was also very gentle and elegant 🥴.

Performances and Minigames

I said that during the opening ceremony I was quite nervous, well, here are those “unexpected” folks:

This is after the opening ceremony when I showed them where to get lunch within the HUS campus, unexpected but a very welcomed one, they definitely helped enhance the show immensely. After the event, I even went pool with them hehe (first time for all of us i think lol):

Meals

This is the moment when I realized I can’t really showcase my experience linearly lol, while I was more present, I wasn’t always there lol, and for the fact that I don’t remember this experience linearly, and just that I don’t have all the photos 🥴.

Nevertheless, we had a lot of great meals together:

Trang An - Ninh Binh trip

I kinda work out some tomfoolery to be here lol 💀. But yeah, I was feeling like I need some fresh air, so I expressed my desire, HUS students weren’t actually supposed to be on this trip, but I was there 8). We took a boat trip on the river, it was really comforting getting away from the city, and the natural scenery was amazing too.

Aside from all the formal lectures and cultural exchange sessions, we hangout with eachother on our own, there is not much pics beside videos though so i probably wont be able to show them here, but we went to a theme park-like playground in Vincom Royal City, had a Karaoke night, and more :).

Epilogue

Im just gonna go out and say it, this was one of the best time in my life, I never thought I would ever had this kind of fun, with all the people, friends, that I can feel comfortable around. Im not gonna lie, I was going through some stuff in life then, and still is now, but during the time we spent together, I’ve had so much fun and relaxed so much, it helped me a lot through that time, now, I think I’ll be fine. Shu, Haruta, Anna, Hinako, Hatsune, thank you guys for spending time with me then, I truly appreciate it. I hope one day, I can meet you guys again :).
