Japan is actually goated for Digital Twin resources
TL;DR
I’m just geeking, I don’t even have that many resources to share in this post, but I just have to lol, these are so cool. Basically, it seems Japan have some extremely cool and OPEN data and resources for digital twin enthusiasts. The most prominent of these is Project PLATEAU. I won’t even yap about it much, if you care about digital twin, you just know why stuff like this is golden.
With that being said, for the rest of this post, I want to share 3 websites that might resonate with you greatly if this topic caught your eyes.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government PLATEAU Viewer
Block
The “OG” website for viewing project PLATEAU, extensive data sources option, can even import your own data in. Even have direct links to free, open download sources.

PLATEAU VIEW 4.0
Block
Seems like a more modern implementation compared to the one from Tokyo Metropolitan Government. More features and aesthetically neat.

Mini Tokyo 3D
Block
Not sure if this project uses Project PLATEAU, but their documentation mentions a Project PLATEAU plugin, still really cool website.

This seems like a much more practical website for people in Japan to check train departure too.
Digital Twin Victoria (AU)
Block
Gonna be real here, I tried really hard to find for more resources like Project PLATEAU: Free, open, and public facing digital twin resources. Welp, I didn’t have much luck with other countries, I saw that countries like Singapore and South Korea have mentions of the technology, but no open data sources and live viewers as far as I know.
Nevertheless, I did find one from Australia, however, doesn’t seem like their data is open.
